What Is Ring Stacking?
Ring stacking is the practice of wearing multiple rings on one finger or hand. It's a trend that has been around for a while, but it's starting to become more popular in recent years. Ring stacking can be used as an easy way to add variety to your jewelry collection by combining different styles and materials of rings together in one place.
There are many different ways you can go about ring stacking. Some people prefer to stack their rings vertically on a single finger while others prefer horizontally across their hand. Whether you're looking for something simple or more eye-catching, there are plenty of options to build your stack!

Tips for Styling Your Stack
Wearing multiple rings can be done in many different ways and can be worn by anyone! If you're interested in trying ring stacking, here are some tips:
- Start small! If you want to wear two or three rings at once, start with just one small ring on your middle finger. Or, you can start strong with a statement ring. Once you get used to the single ring, think of how you’d spice it up!
-Pick complementary metals and stones. We love to wear one color or even mix metals at EBJ. If you decide to mix & match, a great way to pull off the look is to try to stick to two metals. Pick one as your dominant color and the other to incorporate a few pops here and there.
-Be careful not to overload one finger with too many pieces. Thoughtful spacing is key for avoiding a stack becoming “too much." (Although, we aren’t sure we could ever have too many rings…)
- Don’t be afraid to mix textures and stone colors. This is where you really get to express your personality. Mixing in meaningful birthstones or a few sparkly diamonds will really make your fingers pop for all the right reasons. Our Forever Rings add airy texture!
-Leave at least one finger bare. This just helps create balance in your stacking look!
-Vary your weights and sizes. Mixing up weights, sizes, and textures is a great way to show your personality in your jewelry… Do you go for big center stones? A hammered metal? The sky's the limit when building a unique stack!
-Do what feels like YOU. These are just tips, not strict guidelines. You know yourself better than anyone else! Rock what feels good to you, always!!

So, What Goes Where?
Ring finger: This is the finger where most people wear their engagement ring/wedding band. It's also the most common place to wear promise rings.
Index finger: We love layering more simple pieces on the index finger. Something like our sleek Concentric Stacking Ring.
Middle finger: The middle finger is a great one for stacking as it’s most likely your longest finger! We love to add more complex rings and statement pieces here, or even a midi ring.
Thumb: Although it’s not always the most popular for wearing rings, we love styling the thumb! If you do decide on a thumb ring, make sure it's not too big so it doesn't get in the way of everyday activities.
Pinky Finger: Pinkies are another great option for simple pieces.
