From dream to design, creating a custom design is an intimate and collaborative process that you’ll carry with you for a lifetime. With your voice heard in every detail, there’s nothing quite like building your dream design from scratch.

Get Inspired
Start with a spark of inspiration, consider your lifestyle, what you love. Explore our jewelry collections, custom gallery and Instagram. Decide what elements are most meaningful.
Step Two
Inquire
Tell us all about your project. Get started by filling out our custom inquiry form. We will get back to you with the next steps, including scheduling an appointment with your designer.
Step Three
The Design Phase
We will fine tune your design. What started as an idea starts to take shape. From stone sourcing, or working with your heirloom stones, to providing digital drawings and renderings.
Requires a $200 deposit.
Step Four
Made Just for You
When everything is perfect you will make the final approval. Your custom jewelry will go into production in our Detroit studio. From this step your project will be completed within 8-12 weeks.
Requires a 50% deposit.
Step Five
Celebrate
On completion, your jewelry will include beautifully detailed packaging and thoughtful touches. Pick up your jewelry in-store or ship it to your house. We would love to share your story (if you choose).
Requires the balance.
Things to Know
Design Minimum
Involved custom designs have a $2,000 minimum.
Deposits
Deposits start at $200
This non-refundable deposit is for all custom fine jewelry projects and is required for projects to move forward in the design or stone sourcing process. This deposit provides research, designing and pricing out different options for you.
Deposit covers:
- 4 designs
- 6 sourced stones (images/videos)
- 2 memo stones (2 of the sourced stones can be provided on memo to be seen in person at one of our stores)
Additional designs, sourced stones and memo stones will require an additional deposit. This will be listed as ‘Design Fee’ on your proposal.
50% Deposit
Once your design & stone(s) are selected, 50% of your total balance is required to start the project. Custom projects are estimated to be completed 8-12 weeks after this 50% deposit is paid.
CAD Fee
CAD Fee starts at $300
This fee covers a 3D rendering of your project and includes 1 edit. More in depth design work and edits will require additional fees. The 3D rendering will be provided 3-4 weeks after 50% deposit.
Sourcing Gemstones
If we are sourcing a stone, we will not purchase it until we have received your 50% deposit. Each stone is unique and typically one of a kind. We cannot guarantee the claim of a stone until we have purchased it, or it’s already in our possession.
Gold Trade-In
You may be able to trade in heirloom gold for credit towards your custom project. We give you 85% of the value of your gold (as set by current market values). You can pay for up to 40% of your project with this credit. *We will not cast your heirloom gold into your custom project, it is used only at a trade in value.
Heirloom Stone Pricing & Fees
There is a base price of $200 for using heirloom stones in a custom project. Each stone is then individually assessed for a fee depending on its size and quality.
Rush Fee
A 20% rush fee will be added to the total of your custom project if you would like it completed in less than 8 weeks. *Subject to availability.
Completion of Project
Custom projects are estimated to be completed 8-12 weeks after the 50% deposit is paid.
When your project is completed, you will receive an emailed link to make the final payment. You are expected to pay your final balance within 7 days of receiving your final invoice.
Follow Up
You will receive jewelry care tips, a copy of our warranty, and suggestions for how to insure your jewelry upon completion of your project.
Returns / Refunds
Custom designs are not returnable or refundable. Design proposals and quotes are valid for 60 days.
