Real stories from our clients about how they met, what jewelry they chose and why they worked with Elaine B Jewelry.
Courtney & Amanda
When it came to finding our rings, we checked out a bunch of places, but EBJ was different. They made us feel totally at home—no pressure, no sales-y vibes—just real people who actually cared. We felt accepted, understood, and genuinely loved through the whole process. Way more than just jewelers—they were part of the story.
Courtney knew of Amanda through mutual friends, but had never met her in person. She made the bold move to slide into Amanda’s DM’s. They ended up meeting at a bar, had a few drinks, sang Breaking Free by Gabriella and Troy at karaoke that night, and the rest is history.
We customized Courtney’s ring to be more of a signet style ring. Her ring is opposite of Amanda’s. We not only love how they look together, but it also symbolizes our relationship. We are different in a lot of ways, but go perfect together.
Julie & Ian
We chose to design with EBJ because we wanted a unique ring that couldn’t be found in any of the other popular stores — and of course, we wanted to support local woman-owned business!
We met on Hinge and had our first date at Sitwell’s (and Graeter’s) in Clifton. Ian lived in Dayton and Julie lived in Cincinnati, so for 2.5 years we took turns commuting back and forth to see each other on the weekends. We finally moved in together in Cincinnati, and after another two years, Ian asked Julie if she wanted to be part of selecting her engagement ring. She said she wanted to look together, but to no one’s surprise, took over the whole process and designed a bespoke ring with Elaine B. Ian still managed to surprise Julie with the silliness of his proposal, which made her cry laughing.
What this jewelry means to us: we love the salt and pepper diamond because it shows that something can be flawed but incredibly beautiful, and we think that’s a great symbol for marriage.
